Seawater and acid-resistant fittings and pump parts. Ship propellers. Highly stressed machine castings. High strength and wear resistance up to approx. 450 degrees. Hard to machine.
Highly loaded bearings. Very durable. Requires lubrication.

For pistons in internal combustion engines. Gears and pump parts where high strength is required. Very good.

For castings with very good resistance to seawater and weak alkaline solutions. And for high demands on decorative appearance. Can be decoratively anodized. Can be welded.
AC-Al Si8 Cu3
Wide applicability. For complex and thin-walled goods. Poor corrosion properties.
AC-Al Zn5 Mg
Self-hardening strong alloy. Good corrosion resistance. Not seawater resistant. Can be polished.
