UG metal, Th. Udengaards Metalstøberi’s history goes back more than 45 years. In 1975, manufacturer Thorkild Udengaard, who already owned Århus Metalstøberi, took over a metal foundry and a chill casting foundry in Hedensted, thereby saving over 30 jobs in the town. The history of the metal foundries in Hedensted dates back to 1947, and the production methods are as they were back then, sand casting, cronite casting and chill casting in gunmetal, tin bronze, aluminum bronze, brass and aluminum. In 1981, Thorkild Udengaard’s son, Lars Udengaard, took the helm, and UG metal, Th. Udengaards Metalstøberi, has remained family-owned, and is today run and owned by the 3rd generation by Director Mikkel Udengaard. And the fact that we are family-owned is also rooted in our values.
UG metal keeps up with developments, and part of our production is now automated with CNC cleaning machines, and of course we are constantly trying to optimize and standardize to ensure the best product at the best price for our customers.
To ensure that we meet the highest environmental and quality requirements, UG metal was certified by DNV GL Business Assurance A/S in 2011 according to DS/EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and later DS/EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System. Today, both management systems are part of our DNA, and we work continuously to develop and expand the systems for the benefit of our customers.
UG metal, Th. Udengaards Metalstøberi A/S, is a modern metal foundry with a focus on high quality and complete solutions. The metal foundry, which consists of two departments, is located in Hedensted between Horsens and Vejle, but delivers geographically throughout Denmark and Europe.
The company has more than 40 years of experience and has always been family-owned and is now run by the 3rd generation. Naturally, this means that the company has built up an enormous know-how in metal casting, especially in chill casting, sand casting and cronite casting.
We realize that every job is different, which is why we always want an open dialogue so that we can offer professional sparring and advice with the customer and the product in focus.
